SUMMARY:February 2022 Grain Trust Meeting
DESCRIPTION:At our meetings\, we typically discuss business then sample homebrews\, that members bring to share. \nYou’re welcome to bring any homebrew you’d like to share or those you’d like to get feedback.\nOne or two 22 ounce bottles\, of beer\, would be enough.\n\nPlease be aware Clandestine Brewing has instituted a “Proof of Vaccination” policy in order to gain inside seating.\nYou can bring your physical card\, a photo of same\, or use the QR code generated by the California Department of Public Health.\nTo get the latter downloaded to your phone\, visit the California Department of Public Health website for Digital Vaccine Records.\n\nFeel free to show up anytime after the taproom opens at 4:00PM\, and remember that proof of vaccination is required for inside seating.\n\nThe February meeting will be Friday the 18th.\nProceedings will start at 7:00 PM but feel free to arrive anytime after the Taproom opens at 4:00 PM.\n\nFebruary is strong beer month in places\, and we’ll be picking up on that theme during the meeting.\nIf you have some (strong) homebrew to share\, feel free to bring it.\nClandestine is unveiling a number of strong beers this Saturday\, so we’ll all be able to purchase “compatible” beers assuming they’re not all gone by the following Friday.\n\nAnd Sunday February 20th\, there is a club brewing challenge taking place at Freewheel in Redwood City.\nThe Grain Trust has participated in every one of these since their inception in 2016\, winning twice and finishing second twice.\nThis year\, we’ll brew again\, staying true to the theme of Admiral Capay Rye.\nAnil has a recipe for California Common that has 20% rye and has already been tested on TGT\, receiving a lot of favorable comments.\nSo\, we’ll go with that.\nIf you’re interested in participating\, the event starts at around 10:30 AM.\nJust show up and join our team–as a bonus\, draft beers are only $5/pint for members of all brewing teams.\nIf we win\, they will invite us to brew the beer inside on their 6-barrel system.\n\nHope to see you on the 18th.\nRegardless\, have fun and be safe during SF Beer Week.
